The following sequence of pictures are taken in the river valley starting at Eashing and moving North , following the river flow.

The photographer took GPS readings for each photograph so that the distance from the quarry could be represented.

This first photograph shows the beautiful Eashing bridge coupled with a close-up of the sign in the top picture.

Note that the bridge has a weight limit of just 7.5 tonnes ( the quarry lorries will be 26tonne or more ) but is 400metres from the quarry and is situated just a short distance down the first turnoff from the A3 south of Hurtmore.

With at least 178,000 26t lorries to be generated by the quarry over ten years ( and a potential of 40 tonne lorries too) ... it will take just ONE impatient driver aiming to cut through to e.g. Sussex via Milford to 'chance it' and to destroy this bridge.
